Iran and Pakistan Joint Military Exercise held in Strait of Hormuz

The navies of Iran and Pakistan on 6 April 2014 announced to hold joint military exercises in the eastern part of the Strait of Hormuz. The exercise will be conducted on 8 April 2014.

The joint naval exercise will be start with the objective of promoting military cooperation between Tehran and Islamabad.

imageThe joint Military Exercise will be held at the Iranian port of Bandar Abbas.  The Pakistani warship and a submarine have docked at Iranian port to launch joint manoeuvres with selected units of Iran's Navy.

Strait of Hormuz is a narrow corridor between Iran and Oman. More than 20% of the oil export passed from Starit of Hormuz.
