Kawa Music Group of Jaipur to perform at XX Commonwealth Games 2014

Kawa Music Group of Jaipur, Rajasthan is set to perform during the XX Commonwealth Games (CWG) 2014 in Glasgow, Scotland. The CWG 2014 will be held from 23 July to 3 August 2014.

The entire group of band has been invited by the Scottish Art Council to perform during the Games.

As per assistant Director of the group, Danish Neazi, the group that includes Jaipur Kawa Brass Band, Kawa Music Circus and Musafir: Gypsies of Rajasthan will perform at various places in Glasgow.

As per Neazi, the group has planned to perform certain acts during the games and they includes

• To cheer the Indian players in the Games, will play patriotic song Sare Jahan se Achcha Hindustan Hamara
• It will promote Indian art and culture
• It will also promote music and heritage of the country
• Artistes of Musafir: Gypsies of Rajasthan will perform folk songs, music, Bhawai and Kalbelia dances
• The Kawa Musical Circus will perform in streets and squares
