National Awards for e-Governance announced

National Awards for e-Governance was announced on 31 January 2015 by Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel.

The awards were announced during the 18th National Conference on e-Governance held in Gandhinagar from 30 January to 31 January 2015.

The awards were given by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances to recognizes and promote excellence in implementation of e-Governance initiatives.

The purpose of the award is to
• Recognize achievements in the area of e-Governance
• Disseminate knowledge on effective methods of designing and implementing sustainable e-Governance initiatives
• Encourage incremental innovations in successful e-Governance solutions
• Promote and exchange experiences in solving problems, Mitigating risks, resolving issues and planning for success.

The awards were given in twelve categories. These are:
