Olympian Sita Sahu Honoured by Minister of State (I/C) Independent Charge for Power

Jyotiraditya Scindia honoured Special Olympics World Summer Games at Athens winner Sita Sahu in New Delhi on 16 April 2013.

Sita SahuMinister of State (I/C) Independent Charge for Power, Jyotiraditya Scindia, honoured the winner of two medals in 2011 at Special Olympics World Summer Games at Athens, Sita Sahu in New Delhi on 16 April 2013. She was honoured with a cheque of 5 lakh Rupees. The cheque was presented on behalf of NTPC Ltd.

Sita Sahu had won Bronze Medals in 200 M and 1600 M relay race and secured 4th place in 100 M (female) race at Special Olympics World Summer Games at Athens in 2011. She is a 15 year old Olympian from Rewa district in Madhya Pradesh.

In the meanwhile, Jyotiraditya Scindia also declared a reward of 5 lakh Rupees to Sita Sahu and also promised improvement in her one room house under the Corporate Social Responsibility Scheme of NTPC.
