Portugal’s former footballer Eusébio died

Portugal’s former football player Eusebio da Silva Ferreira died on 5 January 2014 due to heart attack.

Eusebio was born in Mozambique but he played for Portugal. He was Africa's first international football star.


Following are the list of tittles won by Eusebio:
•    Eusebio won 64 caps for Portugal and the European Cup with Benfica in 1962.
•    11 national championships
•    European footballer of the year in 1965.
•    Golden Ball for the best European player in 1965. The Golden Ball award is given for best player.
•    Two ‘Golden Boots‘ (1967/68 and 72/73) for the best European scorer. The Golden Boot was first awarded in 1930 for top goal scorer.
•    Seven times top scorer in the national championship
•    American Champion in 1975, and Mexican in 1976.
