Roger Federer won Dubai tennis championship

Roger FedererRoger Federer on 1 March 2014 won singles title of the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championship by defeating Tomas Berdych 3-6, 6-4,6-3 in the final. This is the sixth title win in past 12 years for Federer in Dubai and is also the 78th career title.


Earlier, Federer defeated second seeded Novak Djokovic in the semifinals of the tournament. This win is the first victory for Federer since his only title of 2013 at Halle.

Apart from this, Indo-Pak duo Rohan Bopanna and Aihsan ul Haq Qureshi bagged the doubles title by defeating Daniel Nestor and N. Zimonjic 6-4, 6-3 in straight sets.
