Singapore launched National Day song in Tamil language to celebrate 50 years of Independence

Singapore on 30 November 2014 launched National Day song in Tamil language to celebrate 50 years of independence in 2015. Tamil is the fourth official language of Singapore.

The song and music has been composed by Logapreyan Renganathan to create something new and fresh to celebrate SG50, the abbreviation of multi-racial Singapore’s 50 years of independence.

The SG50 Celebration Fund granted 50000 Singapore dollar grant for the song and music composition project.

The main composition of Singapore population is Chinese, Malays and Indians with Malay.  Chinese, Tamil and English are the official languages of Singapore.
