The book titled Lal Bahadur Shastri: Lessons in Leadership written by the Pavan Choudary was released on 23 March 2014. The book was released by the spiritual leader Dalai Lama in New Delhi.
The book written by Pavan is based on the narration given by Lal Bahadur Shastri’s son Anil Shastri. The book details about the Shastri’s childhood, his adult and public life which are thought provoking. The book also highlights his virtues of simplicity, integrity, tenacity, wisdom and leadership.
The book also contains an account of how Shastri handled questions of governance and politics as well as how he dealt with crises like the 1965 war with Pakistan. The book highlights the rich values and principles of Lal Bahadur Shastri which may teach important lessons of life to present leaders.
