Tamil Nadu Congress Committee (TNCC) president B.S. Gnanadesikan on 30 October 2014 resigned from the post over differences with All India Congress Committee (AICC).
The move followed an argument between Gnanadesikan and Mukul Wasnik, Congress General Secretary in-charge of Tamil Nadu after a meeting over membership drive.
Gnanadesikan was upset at the utter lack of respect from the AICC in decision making. There had been no coordination with the TNCC leadership including appointments to TNCC posts.
