INDRA 2019: India, Russia conduct joint military exercise

Indian and Russian Army began the bilateral military exercise “INDRA 2019” at Babina (near Jhansi). The exercise is being held under the directive of the United Nations (UN). INDRA 2019 exercise aims to combat terrorism and insurgency. The exercise will conclude on December 19, 2019.

One of the key campaign promises of PM Boris Johnson was Brexit. Johnson contested from the Conservative party of Britain. The Conservatives won 364 seats. A party needs a minimum 326 seats to win elections in the United Kingdom.

All review petitions against Ayodhya verdict dismissed by Supreme Court

The Supreme Court dismissed all the review petitions against the Ayodhya dispute. The five-judge Supreme Court bench comprising Chief Justice SA Bobde and Justices SA Nazeer, D Y Chandrachud, Sanjeev Khanna and Ashok Bhushan considered only those petitions that were filed by parties which filed lawsuits in the famous Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid case.

The International Financial Services Centres Authority Bill, 2019 was passed by the Lok Sabha on December 11, 2019. The bill seeks to set up an authority to regulate the financial services market in India.
