The Union Home Ministry recently decided to set up women help desks from the Nirbhaya Fund in all the Police Stations of India.
The court of Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) declares Nirav Modi a fugitive economic offender. Nirav Modi and Mehul Choksi are the prime accusers in Rs 13,570 crore Punjab National Bank (PNB) fraud case. Nirav is the second Indian businessman to be declared as an offender after Vijay Mallya who was accused in bank fraud of Rs. 9,000 crore.
The Union Home Ministry recently decided to set up women help desks from the Nirbhaya Fund in all the Police Stations of India. For this purpose, the Ministry has sanctioned Rs 100 crore. The move is expected to make the police stations more women-friendly and easily approachable. Women help desks will be the first and single point of contact for a woman to file a complaint in the police station.
