Uddhav Thackeray appointed as the Party President of Shiv Sena

Shiv Sena, elected Uddhav Thackeray as the President of the Party on 23 January 2013 at Sena Headquarters at Dadar, Central Mumbai.

Uddhav Thackeray on 23 January 2013 was elected as the Party President for Shiv Sena during the National Executive Meet of the party held at Sena Bhawan, party’s headquarters at Dadar in Central Mumbai. He was elected to the post of the President of the Party on the day of birth anniversary of the party supremo and his father, Bal Thackeray.

Now, Uddhav will be responsible to take all the decisions of the party and make the appointments too.

His appointment to the position of party President was completed by the Election Officer, Balakrishna Joshi following the requirements of the electoral processes necessary. The Election Officer declared that the post of the party supremo that was held by Bal Thackeray for more than four decades, would remain vacant. The post of the executive President would also remain vacant this position was held by Uddhav Thackeray.
