Union Minister for Social Justice & Empowerment, Kumari Selja on 5 April 2013 launched a Website on Babu Jagjivan Ram on the occasion of his 106th Birth Anniversary.
The Government has dedicated this website (http://www.jagjivanram.nic.in/) to Babu Jagjivan Ram National Foundation an autonomous organization that is functional under the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment. Babu Jagjivan Ram National Foundation was established on 14th March, 2008 as an autonomous body under the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, with the main aim of propagating the ideals of the late Babu Jagjivan Ram, on social reform as well as his ideology, philosophy of life, mission and vision to create a casteless and classless society. It works for uplifting the unprivileged class and scheduled castes and bring attitudinal change in the society to abolish caste based prejudice and untouchability.

• He was one of the important members in the formation of the All-India Depressed Classes League
