The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) inaugurated an electronic-waste recycling box in collaboration with a Japanese firm. Recycling boxes will be used at 15 metro stations here to recycle various waste items, including printer ink bottles. According to officials, the Japanese Ambassador inaugurated the facility along with DMRC Managing Director Vikas Kumar.

Haryana state government has recently announced to give 10% reservation to Agniveers in Mining Guard and Police recruitment. Also, 5% reservation has been announced for recruitment to Group C posts. Apart from this, there is also talk of relaxation in upper age limit for the candidates. Under this, Agniveers will be given additional exemption of 3 years.

India's Shaurya Bava won the bronze medal at the World Junior Squash Championships 2024 in Houston, Texas. This is only the second medal won by an Indian male squash player at the World Junior Squash Championships. Asian Games gold medallist Kush Kumar was the last Indian to reach the semi-finals of the tournament in 2014.

Its second phase will be started on 19th July. Earlier, the first phase of Kirti was launched in Chandigarh on March 12 this year.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has announced a new scheme, 'Ladka Bhau' scheme, for the unemployed youth of the state on July 17, 2024. Under the scheme, a Class 12 pass trainee will get Rs 6,000, a diploma holder will get Rs 8,000, and a graduate degree holder will get Rs 10,000 per month.

The Narendra Modi-led NDA government reconstituted the NITI Aayog, with four full-time members and 15 Union ministers, including BJP allies, as either ex-officio members or special invitees.
