The facility will be available to subscribers whose Aadhaar number and bank account details are seeded with their Universal Account Number (UAN). Subscribers who want to seed Aadhaar and bank details with their Universal Account Number will have to fill a new composite claim form, which replaces the existing Forms 19, 10C and 31 for filing claims. The new single-page form can be submitted with the attestation of employers.

Microsoft's CEO Satya Nadella on 22 February 2017 launched "Project Sangam" to help the Indian government not only train but also help people get jobs via professional networking website LinkedIn that was acquired by the company last year. It mainly aims to employ and empower low-skilled workers.

CBEC launched the Mobile Application for Goods and Services Tax (GST) to inform the taxpayers of the latest updates on GST among others. The mobile application can be downloaded free of cost on Android platforms. The iOS version will be made available shortly.

 A group of scientists have claimed to discover a continent two-thirds the size of Australia beneath the south-west Pacific Ocean. The discovery was recently reported in a paper titled Zealandia: Earth's Hidden Continent in the journal of the Geological Society of America. This newly proposed continent is about 1.74 million square miles in size and 94 percent submerged.

A group of Indian scientists recently discovered seven new miniature frog species in the Western Ghats. The frogs, which can comfortably sit even on a child's thumbnail, were discovered after five years of extensive exploration.  The study title Seven new species of Night Frogs from the Western Ghats Biodiversity Hotspot of India, with remarkably high diversity of diminutive forms was conducted by Delhi University-based researchers and the Kerala Forest Department. They spent five years surveying the global biodiversity hotspot.

Haryana's Tourism Department has prepared a 'Tirath Darshan' scheme under which senior citizens above 60 years of age would be able to visit various religious places. Under the scheme, the department would bear the entire cost of tour of senior citizens belonging to BPL families whereas in case of senior citizens belonging to non-BPL families, it would bear 70 per cent of the cost.
