DTE CAP Notification Date

The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Maharashtra will be conducting the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) in the month of May, 2018. This test will be based on percentile scores awarded to students in MAHCET Exam.

It’s only through DTE CAP 2018, candidates willing to take admission in Government Authorized MMS/MBA programme will be allotted seat in one of 400 MBA colleges in Maharashtra.

Cut offs at top MBA Colleges expected to rise

The cut offs and merit scores calculated in DTE CAP round for reputed MBA colleges are expected to go up for admission this year. It is speculated that candidates scoring as high as 130+ may find it difficult to get admission into JBIMS, N L Dalmia, K J Somaiya and Welingkar.

JIBMS, Mumbai will accept MAHCET 2018 exam score and also take part in DTE CAP 2018 Round for selection of candidates. Candidates don’t need to apply to JBIMS separately now.

Seats for All India candidates

There are more than 40,000 seats in 400+ MBA colleges accepting MAHCET score for admission to MBA/MMS/PGDM programmes. Out of all these seats, 15% seats are reserved for All India category candidates. Candidates can also take admission on the basis of CMAT and CAT scores in colleges accepting MAHCET score.

All seats will be allotted in MBA colleges through Centralized Admission Process (CAP) on the basis of MAHCET 2018, CMAT 2018, and CAT 2017 exam scores.

Shortly after the MAHCET 2018 result declaration, the DTE Maharashtra will open the registration process and release the date for Centralized Admission Process (CAP) 2018, which will ensure the seat allotment process in 400 different MBA colleges in Maharashtra.
