Symbiosis SET Selection Process

Symbiosis International University (SIU) conducts SET BBA 2021 exam for the candidates interested for admission in the BBA program offered by SIU affiliated colleges. This year, the SET BBA exam result is expected on 7th August as per the information available on the official website. The University has brought a 360 degree change in the way it has been conducting the exam and the same practice will be followed while shortlisting the candidates for final admission. 

The SET BBA exam is scheduled to be conducted in Remote Proctored mode where candidates will appear for the exam from their Home. In this article, find out major changes introduced by SIU in SET BBA 2021 selection process to shortlist candidates for admission to the BBA program:-

SET BBA 2021 Selection Process

Till last year, SIU followed a three-step selection process to shortlist candidates for the final admission in which candidates were required to appear for the SET BBA Entrance Exam, followed by WAT and PI round which was being conducted at the University campus. This year a twist has been brought in the selection process. Find out what new practice has been adopted keeping in view the health and safety of the candidates in the focus.

Step 1: SET BBA Entrance Exam

Candidates need to appear for the SET BBA entrance exam from their Home. SET BBA is set to be conducted online by the SIU from 10th July 2021 to 13th July 2021 in online proctored mode (Home-based exam). 

Step 2: Written Ability Test (WAT round)

Candidates will have to appear for the WAT round along with the online exam. A shortlist will be announced on the SIU website wherein the shortlisted candidates will be invited to participate in the PI Round.

For the WAT round, candidates will be given a topic on which they have to write at length to express their thoughts and opinions. The topic could be from any genre or abstract. Candidates will be evaluated on the basis of the content, presentation and what they think about a certain situation or issue.

Step 3: Personal Interview (PI)

After the Online exam which comprise of the WAT round as well, PI round will be conducted separately for each institute/college, once the shortlist will be declared online on the official website.

This year, even the PI round will be conducted online through the Video Chat application of SIU. 

Step 4: Final Call for Admission

After the PI round, final shortlist will be prepared and declared online. Candidates who score well in the SET BBA entrance test, WAT and PI round will receive final call for admission. The institute invites aspirants to book their seats in the respective college where they have applied at the time of registration.
