Note:
- Paper-II of the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination will be a qualifying paper with minimum qualifying marks
- The Commission will draw a list of candidates to be qualified for Civil Services (Main) Examination based on the criterion of minimum qualifying marks of 33% in General Studies Paper-II of Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination and total qualifying marks of General Studies Paper-I of Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination as may be determined by the Commission.
- There will be a negative marking of 1/3rd marks for incorrect answers.
- It is mandatory for the candidate to appear in both the Papers of Civil Services (Prelim) Examination for the purpose of evaluation.

2. Time Management Straegy:
Give proper and set time to the sections that are your strengths. While solving questions instead of getting stuck with a particular one, move to others. Candidates must keep track of time during the examination.

3. Practice Mock Tests and Previous Year Papers:
Solving Mock Tests and practice papers along with theory always gives candidates the idea of what the exam would be like. It keeps one in the mode of the exam.
4. Finish Static Theory As Soon As Possible:
Now that there are 3 months left for your UPSC Prelims 2022, finish up your static theory chapters and start the revision. Solve as many questions as possible and try not to revise more than one boo for each subject. This would only lead to confusion.
5. Maintain your Speed & Accuracy and Maximize your Score:
Remember that there will be a separate cut-off for GS Paper-I and minimum qualifying marks of 33% in GS Paper-II. Also, there will be negative marking of 1/3rd marks for incorrect answers. So your job is to simply maximize your score however you can. Try to maintain your speed and accuracy while solving the paper during the examination.
6. Imagine Yourself at the Exam Centre
