Hence, we can say that Europe has significant geological feature which is consists of the highlands and mountains of Southern Europe and a vast, partially underwater, northern plain ranging from Great Britain in the west to the Ural Mountains in the east. So, the regions are named in term of geographical entity. I.e. Nordic, Scandinavian, Baltic and Balkan.
