Sachin Tendulkar was the first cricketer who scored 10,000 runs in the One day International matches. The cricketer who hit fastest 5000 runs in the ODIs was Hashim Amla of the South Africa. Amla broke the record of cricket legend Viv Richards of West Indies.

1. Hashim Amla (SA): This opener batsman of the South Africa is the current world record holder in fastest 5000 run scorer in the ODIs. Amla completed 5000 runs in ODIs after playing just 101 innings.
