The first World Cup was held in 1975. There are 11 World Cup tournaments being held till date. Upcoming or the 12th cricket World Cup will commence in England and Wales on 30 May, 2019. There are 10 test match playing teams participating in this cricket World Cup 2019.

World Cup

Cricket World Cup is the third most happening tournament after football and Rugby World Cup. The World Cup 2019 is commencing on 30th May, 2019 and will continue till July 14, 2019. India, England and Australia are considered as the most favourite teams to win the World Cup 2019.

India & West Indies are the only two countries which have won the Cricket World Cup 2 times each. Pakistan and Sri Lanka are the other two countries that have won the World Cup in 1992 and 1996 respectively. England and Wales is the only country which lost 3 finals and hosted the World Cup 5 times. England and Wales have previously hosted Cricket World Cup in 1975, 1979, 1983, 1999 and 2019 (upcoming).
