India is the host of the 2023 Cricket World Cup, set to take place from October 5 to November 19, 2023. India recently unveiled its full-team squad. Australia was the first to announce its preliminary squad and second to reveal the full players list.
The selectors have dropped two uncapped players, leg-spinner Tanveer Sangha, all-rounder Aaron Hardie, and pacer Nathan Ellic from the team while initially excluding Test star Marnus Labuschagne from the 15-member squad.
UPDATE: Due to an injury, experienced spinner Ashton Agar had to be dropped from the final squad. Batsman Marnus Labuschagne will instead take his place.

- Australia is likely banking on the Indian pitches favouring spinners, as evident from their initial selection of Ashton Agar and Adam Zampa.
