Who is Ron DeSantis?

Ron DeSantis is making headlines again. The Floridan Governor has made a significant move by announcing his entry into the 2024 presidential race. However, as reported by CNN, the GOP primary polls indicate that he faces a considerable challenge, trailing by an average of 30 points behind Donald Trump in the Republican Party's primary. Despite losing the 2020 elections to Democrat Joe Biden, Trump is favoured over DeSantis in the Republican Party. The significant gap in poll numbers suggests that DeSantis needs to work diligently to gain traction and appeal to a broader base of voters within the party.
