1605 students to be awarded with degrees at ICFAI convocation

The ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education, Hyderabad, deemed-to-be University, will hold its 8th Convocation on Thursday. About 1605 graduating candidates will be granted their degrees amid the conference. These include PhD-13, MBA-1135, BBA-241, BTech-159, BBA-LLB -31, MMS-15 and LLM-6, Exec.MBA-5. During the event, six students will receive gold medals and five will receive silver medals. It has also been claimed, the 'Apollo-N J Yasaswy Best Teacher for overall excellence, carrying a citation and a cash award of Rs. 1,00,000/- and 'Best Student for overall excellence' carrying a cash award of Rs. 50,000/- will be presented to the deserving candidates.

The Vice Chancellor of the University, J Mahender Reddy will present a report on the University highlighting its innovative practices that helped in its growth.

The convocation will be managed by the Chancellor of the University C Rangarajan, who is a prestigious economist and former Chairman of the Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister and former Governor of the Reserve Bank of India, and former Governor of unified Andhra Pradesh. Vellayan Subbiah, Managing Director, Tube Investments of India Ltd will be the occasion’s main guest.

In March 2018, over 500 students of the ICFAI University, Meghalaya, were conferred with various degrees at convocation. The degrees included undergraduate and post-graduate courses like bachelor of business administration, bachelor of travel and tourism management, bachelor of computer applications, MBA, master of travel and tourism management, master of commerce and MCA.
