Twenty-two final year postgraduate students of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) have got placements in Profilety Consulting Pvt Ltd through a campus placement drive. The drive was jointly organized by the Training and Placement Office (General) and Department of Computer Science of the varsity. The selected students will be given 3-months training in cloud and virtualization after which they will be offered a guaranteed job as 'Cloud Engineer' in IT organizations with a prospective salary package of Rs. 3-5 lakh per annum, reports NDTV.
"We are honored to be a part of this placement drive and our organization will be happy to provide better career opportunities to the students of Aligarh Muslim University," Vikrant Agrawal, HR Manager of Profilety Consulting Pvt Ltd, said. The placement drive was supervised by Prof Jamshed Siddiqui, Chairman, Department of Computer Science, along with Prof Ubaidullah Bokhari and Mr Saad Hameed, TPO General.
Earlier, Over 160 students of the Zakir Husain College of Engineering & Technology (ZHCET), a constituent college of the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), have got placements in some of the best companies such as Adobe, Voltas, Wipro, TCS, etc. National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India had ranked the University at 35th position in the engineering category. According to varsity officials, the excellent and innovative teaching with the support of the Training and Placement Office has resulted in such a good number of placements. The Zakir Husain College of Engineering and Technology (ZHCET) was established in 1935. The College's excellence was identified out of the 400 institutions across the country and was put in the list of seven selected Institutions to be upgraded to the level of IIT.
