Maharashtra SSC 10th Board exam 2019 question papers of three subjects were allegedly leaked on social media in the Thane District. A probe into the matter is underway as Maharashtra Board has registered a complaint. The Maharashtra board class 10th exams were started on March 1, 2019. Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) told PTI that the question papers of Science, Algebra, and Geometry were supposedly leaked on social media on March 11, 13, 15 and 18. The subsequent leaks occurred just ahead of the respective class 10th examinations schedule for the subject. Meanwhile, the question paper leak was also reported in Thane’s Bhiwandi Town.
As of now, a police spokesperson has confirmed that a case was registered under Maharashtra Prevention of Malpractices at University, Board and Other Specified Examinations Act as well as under IPC Section 406 (criminal breach of trust) and provisions of the Information Technology Act. Further information in regard to this matter is awaited from the board. According to the official complaint filed by the Maharashtra board, substantial doubts over two examination co-ordination centers have been raised. The centers are located in Bhiwandi town. However, no arrest has been made as of now, and the probe is underway.
MSBSHSE (Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education), is the responsible body for conducting class 12 – HSC and class 10 – SSC examinations in the state. The SSC exams are on roll and the HSC examinations have already been concluded.
