AP Inter Exam 2021 Cancelled: As per the latest media reports, the Andhra Pradesh State Government has decided to cancel the AP Inter Exam 2021 for 2nd year / Class 12 students as well as AP SSC Exam 2021 for Class 10 students. The decision about cancellation of AP Inter and SSC Exam 2021 was taken by the state government late evening today after the Apex Court warned it about health and safety concerns of the students. The decision has been taken after Senior Officers from the Board Of Intermediate Education AP (BIEAP) explained to the government that they cannot conduct the examinations in the stipulated time frame suggested by the Supreme Court
News Confirmed by Education Minister
The news about cancellation of AP Intermediate Exam 2021 and AP SSC Exam 2021 has been confirmed by AP Education Minister Adimulapu Suresh. Addressing a press meet today evening, Education Minister noted that the decision was taken after the directions passed by the Supreme Court about mandatory declaration of Class 12 Results of State Board Exams by 31st July. Mr Suresh noted that typically it takes around 45 Days to conduct the AP Intermediate Exam 2021 and therefore it would be impossible for the BIEAP to conduct the exams and declare results before the timeline prescribed by the apex court.
Expert Committee to Decide Result Evaluation Criteria
After confirming that the AP SSC Exam 2021 and AP Intermediate Exam 2021 for Class 10 and 12 students has been cancelled, AP Education Minister also spoke about the result preparation process. Mr Suresh during the press conference said that to ensure timely declaration of AP Inter Result 2021 and AP SSC Result 2021 in line with SC’s directions, an expert committee will be appointed which will finalize the evaluation criteria for the compilation of results.
Earlier in the day, Supreme Court had criticised AP Govt’s stand about holding the AP Inter and SSC Exam 2021 despite the challenge of COVID-19 pandemic. SC bench comprising of Justices AM Khanwilkar and Dinesh Maheshwari hearing the case said that “Even one fatality, we may order compensation amounting to one crore”. “When other boards had cancelled why Andhra Pradesh wants to show it is different,” the top court added.
