The complete schedule of AP PGECET 2019 exam will be released in March next year. AP PGECET or Andhra Pradesh Postgraduate Engineering Common Entrance Test is a state level exam that is conducted for giving admission into the Post Graduate Courses in Engineering, Technology, ME, M.Tech., Graduate level Pharm.D. The test is conducted by the Andhra University, Visakhapatnam on behalf of the APSCHE or Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education. According to reports, a detailed notification regarding the exam will be released in March 2019 and the process of online application will also begin in the same month. The last date for online submission of application form (without late fee) will April 2019.
Candidates who are willing to apply for AP PGECET must be Indian Nationals. Also, they must be residents of Andhra Pradesh and must meet the local/ non-local status requirements as laid down in the regulations of admission. Aspirants must have scored a minimum of 50% marks (45% in case candidate belonging to reserved category) in B.E. / B.Tech. / AMIE in the respective disciplines.
APSCHE, also known as Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education was established in 1988 and it is responsible for determining the standards in institutions of Higher Education, Research, Scientific & Technical Institutions. Apart from AP PGECET, the APSCHE conducts various entrance tests namely ICET, EAMCET, Ed.CET, and ECET for the aspirants of Andhra Pradesh. APSCHE is a coordinating body between the University Grants Commission or UGC – the higher education regulator, the State Government, and the Universities. It advises the Government in matters relating to Higher Education in the AP State.
