The Assam Board 2018 class 10th or High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) examination conducted by Board of Secondary Education (SEBA) will start from today. The examination of HSLC Assam Board 2018 will conclude on March 10th 2018. All the required information about the Assam Board class 10th examination 2018 is mentioned on the official website, i.e. www.sebaonline.org.
The officials have stated that this year a total number of 353,533 students would sit for the examinations. The class 10th and 12th Assam Board 2018 examinations will be held at altogether 852 centers of Assam. The Assam board has declared some centers to be "sensitive". An official said special security arrangements have been made to all those centers.
"Analysing the earlier performance and law and order during examination hours, we have detected some centers as sensitive. To conduct exams peacefully at those centers we have already discussed the issue with the district administration and special training was given to the in-charge of the centers," SEBA secretary Probin Sarma said.
At every exam center, SEBA has directed to install CCTVs to keep a watch on examinees and people near the exam centers. This year, anti-cheating measures have been seriously adopted by many states. In Bihar, special WhatsApp group was made to keep the officials updated about the steps taken to curb cheating. Uttar Pradesh Board has been constantly in news due to their strict measure to crack down the cheating mafias.
"At every center, there should be at least four CCTVs in different angles. The person in charge of a center will decide how many cameras will be needed. Orders have been issued to ensure that examinees do not use cell phones," Probin Sarma said.
SEBA has made it mandatory to use black ball-point pens by students of Assam board class 10th exam, to ensure digital evaluation of answer scripts. Once the examination is completed, the answer sheets will be directly taken to SEBA, from where it will be sent to 34 different places for the evaluation.
"We hope there will be no leak of question papers this time," Sarma added. Yesterday, Assam governor Jagdish Mukhi extended his best wishes to all students who will be appearing for the Assam Board class 10th examination, this year. Tomorrow the examination will be conducted in the time slot of 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, with English being the first subject of examination.
