Bangalore University’s Department of History will host a two-day national seminar on the topic of 'Bengaluru History and Heritage' as per reports. Bangalore University’s Department of History has collaborated with the Nadaprabhu Kempe Gowda Centre For Humanities and Social Sciences to organize the seminar on the unique topic. The interdisciplinary seminar will be held on 12th and 13th September 2019 i.e. Thursday and Friday.
The History and Heritage seminar will showcase historical antecedents of the Yalahanka Nada Prabhus and the Kempegowda’s family. The seminar will also focus on some of the lesser known aspects of the Kempegowda’s rule in the state and its influence and contribution to the history and culture of Bangalore.
Nirmalananda Swamy of Adichunchanagiri Maha Samstana will grace the national two-days seminar with her presence. Her gracing the occasion is seen as a blessing by many. The 'Bengaluru History and Heritage' seminar will be inaugurated by Gangambike. Renowned scholar and Director of Institute for Social and Economic Change, Bengaluru, Dr. M. G. Chandrkant is going to address the seminar and speak on various aspects of the city.
