Bengaluru-based health technology startup SigTuple is among top 10 finalists selected to participate in Google's Demo Day Asia. The first-ever Demo Day event in Asia will be hosted in Shanghai on September 20. SigTuple creates intelligent screening solutions to aid diagnosis through Artificial Intelligence -powered analysis of visual medical data. Other startups who will participate at the event include DycodeX from Indonesia, Marham from Pakistan, GITAI from Japan, Origami Labs from Hong Kong, FreightExchange from Australia, SkyMagic from Singapore, Miotech from China, OneStockHome, and Swingvy from Korea. These 10 finalists have been selected out of 305 qualifying applicants.

They will pitch to a distinguished panel of leaders from Google for Entrepreneurs, Sequoia Capital China, and Venturra Capital on September 20th in Shanghai. The startups that impress could come home with funding from investors and up to $100,000 in Google Cloud Platform credits," said Michael Kim, Partnerships Manager, Google for Entrepreneurs.
SigTuple has an AI platform called Manthana, which helps analyze visual medical data efficiently. It has enabled the company to work on five high-volume screening processes of the health industry - analysis of peripheral blood smears, fundus, urine microscopy, semen, and OCT scans and chest X-rays.
SigTuple was founded by three IITians - Rohit Kumar Pandey, Apurv Anand, and Tathagato Rai Dastidar. Before giving a try to SigTuple, they all worked together at American Express in Bangalore. The basic criteria for the selection were that the startup should be legally incorporated and headquartered in Asia. Also, it must have raised at least USD 50,000 and seeking to actively raise $1M-$5M within 6 months of the event.
