The Bihar School Examination Board is expected to be release class 12 compartment result next week. According to some media reports, the board has almost completed all the preparations and will be announcing the results next week. The BSEB board official had said that the board will release the results of Class 12 compartment examinations between August 16 to August 20. Soon after the formal declaration of the results, the scorecards will be available on the official website of the board i.e. biharboardonline.com.
On Monday, the board had released the answer keys of the objective questions of the compartment examination. The candidates can check the answer keys on the official website of the board. Making few changes on the question pattern, the Bihar Board had introduced 50% objective questions in the board examinations. The board also made arrangements for separate OMR sheets for answering the objective questions. The students must note that in case of any objection or complaint, the can submit the same via the online link available on the official website. The candidate will have to visit the official website of the board i.e. biharboardonline.com and click on the 'Register objection regarding answer key' link. The last date to submit objections is August 8, 2018. The board has made it clear that any issue raised after the last date will not be entertained by the board.
A candidate needs to obtain a minimum of 30 per cent marks in theory paper and 40 per cent of total marks in practical to pass the intermediate exam. To obtain first division, a student need to get 300 marks, while for the second division, it is 225. According to the Bihar Board’s grace marks policy, in case a student fails in one subject by not more than 8 per cent or in two subjects by not more than 4 per cent marks in each then the candidate will be given the extra or grace marks to pass the paper. If someone has obtained 75 per cent marks in aggregate but has failed in one subject only by not more then 10 per cent marks and cannot be allowed to pass under any other regulation, will be declared to have passed.
This year, the Bihar Board announced the results on June 6 and was the last to announce the class 12 board results. The pass percentage this year was an improvement on last years numbers at 52.95 per cent. The pass percentage for Science stream was 44.71% and for Commerce stream was 91.32%. 61.32% students had passed in Arts stream.
