According to a recent announcement made by Bihar Education Minister Vijay Kumar Choudhary, the Schools in Bihar will be reopened for the students from classes 1 to 10 soon. According to the announcement, the department will begin the operations of the schools from the second week of August 2021.
The Education Minister stated that the current partial unlock will be effective in the state until August 6, 2021, and the dates and relaxations will be provided only after this. It must be noted that Bihar recently allowed the reopening of the schools for classes 11 and 1 along with the reopening of the colleges and universities with 50 percent capacity.
Protocols to be followed
As per the rules, the students have been allowed to go to the educational institutions only on alternative days. In the reopening phase, the government has asked that all the COVID-19 protocols must be followed without fail. SOPs will also be issued to the institutions and it must be ensured that everyone follows the same.
One dose of the COVID-19 vaccinations is essential while other safety measures like marks, social distancing, and sanitization must also be followed.
Educational institutions across the country are being reopened in phases as per the intensity of the COVID-19 cases in the respective states. Vaccinations have been made compulsory for the students, teachers, and staff members for the reopening of the schools.
