CBSE 12th Board Exam 2019: Main exams from tomorrow, Important Things to Keep in Mind

The Central Board of Secondary Education will commence with its Class 12th Board Examination Tomorrow i.e. on 2nd March 2019. The first examination that the students will appear for is of English subject. The exam will be conducted in the morning slot from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm and will be held at over 4974 examination centres in India and 78 centres abroad. This year, a total of 12,87,359 candidates registered for the Class 12th Board examination 2019 conducted by CBSE. Here are some important tips and last minute instructions that the candidates need to keep in mind on the exam day.

Candidates appearing for the CBSE Class 12th Board Examination 2019 can refer to the below given pointers with reference to the important things to keep in mind during the exam day:

  • Entry to the Examination Centre will close at 10AM. No Student will be allowed to enter the centre beyond 10AM under any circumstances. A long bell will be sounded at 10AM indicating that the doors have to be closed. Students should ideally be seated in their seats by 10AM.
  • The Answer sheets will be distributed after the bell. Students are advised to carefully listen to any advice provided by the teachers/invigilators at the time for filling out the details on the answer sheets.
  • At 10:15 AM the question papers will be distributed after a second bell (this bell will be a single bell). As an added security measure 2 students at random will be required to witness the unsealing of the question papers.
  • Students can go through the question paper from 10:20 to 10:30 AM. At 10:30 AM a long bell will be sounded once again, to indicate the start of the examination.
  • After that, there will be a single bell at the end of every hour. A bell will also be rung 10 minutes before the paper is to end. At the end of the allotted time, a bell would be rung again and the teachers will then collect the answer sheets from all students.

Also, no student will be allowed to leave the examination centre before 12PM. In case a student has any doubt they can seek the help of the teachers and invigilators present in the room. Extra time will be allotted to the candidates belonging to PwD category.
