This year, nearly 34 lakh students are expecting their CBSE 12th Results. Keeping in mind the large number of students and the importance of class 12 results for further admission process, there has been a lot of anticipation and excitement among the students with regards to CBSE 12th Result date.
As per earlier reports, the CBSE was likely to approach the Supreme Court with a special leave petition (SLP), challenging the Delhi High Court order on marks moderation policy. However, following the advice of government and HRD ministry, the Board is expected to drop the idea of approaching the SC. The board is under pressure to declare CBSE Results soon, as they have already been late due to the delay in exams because of the assembly polls earlier this year.
“It has been decided that the board will not move the court based on the opinion received from the legal counsel and the Additional Solicitor General (ASG). We will carry out moderation based on the rules set (in the examination by laws of CBSE). But no ‘artificial’ spiking of marks will be done,” said a CBSE official.
Even as of now, the Board is mum about the tentative date, which has left has left both parents and students in a tizzy. However, some media reports claim that the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will declare Class 12 results within 48 hours, adding that results could come out as soon as Saturday evening. The CBSE board is expected to put up a notification on the official websites cbse.nic.in and cbseresults.nic.in, sources said.
Meanwhile, other boards on the verge of releasing results, like UP board results 2017 and Council for Indian School Certificate (CICSE) results 2017, have also hinted their results could also be delayed as they prefer to await CBSE's final decision on the matter.
