CBSE 12th Toppers 2021: With CBSE Board announcing the much awaited Class 12 Board Results 2021, nearly 14 lakh student have heaved a sigh of relief. However, one key aspect that has been different about CBSE Class 12 Results 2021 is that these were not prepared on the basis of regular offline exams due to COVID-19. As the CBSE 12th Class Results have been prepared on the basis alternate evaluation policy that considers performance of students in previous classes and exams, the overall pass percentage has shot-up greatly to 99.37%. In addition to this, the number of students securing above 95% marks has also gone up drastically which may lead to more competition in college cut-offs for admission processes this year.
No Official Merit List or Toppers List Released
For 2021 session, the CBSE 12th Result 2021 is being declared by the board under very exceptional circumstances of COVID-19 pandemic. Due to the safety concerns for the students amid 2nd wave of the Coronavirus pandemic; the board decided to cancel the class 12 exams and instead came-up with an alternative assessment policy which uses previous marks of students in earlier classes and exams to arrive at Class 12 Results. Keeping this situation in mind, the Board has decided not to release any official merit list or toppers list for CBSE 12th Result 2021. However, as a by product of the results being prepared on the basis of internal assessment policy, over 70,000 students have secured above 95% marks in the Class 12 exam.
Key Parameter and Highlights
Along with announcing the results, the Board has also announced some key parameters and highlights about the CBSE 12th Result 2021. As per the details shared by the CBSE Board, a total of 13, 04, 561 candidates had registered for the CBSE Board Exams 2021 this year. Of these, 12, 96, 318 have passed. Between girls and boys, girls have performed better and have recorded a pass percentage of 99.67% as compared to that of boys at 99.13%. Between institutions, Kendriya Vidyalayas have recorded a 100% pass percentage this year. In terms of region-wise performance, Delhi has recorded pass percentage of 99.84%. Amongst the toppers, 70,004 students have scored 95% and above marks. Another 1, 50, 152 students have been placed in the 90 – 95% range.
