If the latest reports are to be believed, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is to declare the CBSE Class 10th Result 2016 on 28 May 2016 at around 2pm on official CBSE results website www.cbseresults.nic.in. The declaration of CBSE 10th Result 2016 will put an end to nearly two month long wait for the students and pave the way for admission to senior secondary admissions.

Like every year, the CBSE Result for class 10 students can be expected to be announced from the Delhi office of the Board. Reports have also suggested that Board has made all the necessary arrangements to ensure that CBSE 10th Result for all the 10 regions is announced on the same day i.e., May 28. Post formal declaration, the CBSE 10th Result will be made available online to all the students through the official website cbseresults.nic.in.

Student Participation & Examination Schedule

The CBSE Result 2016 for Class Secondary School Certificate examination will be declared for 14,99,122 students. Out of the total students who had appeared for the examination, 8.9 lakh were boys and the rest were girls. This year the Board exam witnessed an increase of 9.12% in the number of examinees (13.7 lakh students had appeared for the CBSE Class 10th Exam in 2015). A total of 15,309 schools participated in the examination which was held in 3,747 centers across the nation. The examination was held from 1st March to 28th March.

Last year’s CBSE Class 10 Result
As stated above, last year a total of 13,73,853 students had appeared for the CBSE Class 10th Exam 2015. Of the total number of examinees, nearly 97.32% students managed to clear the examination with flying colours. Despite the healthy overall pass percentage, students were unable to beat the 2014’s success ratio record of 98.87% and fell short by 1.55%. As expected, girls managed to outshine boys in the gender rivalry; their respective pass percentages were 97.82% and 96.98%. One of the biggest highlights of the CBSE 10th Class Result last year was that nearly 94,000 candidates managed to score perfect 10 CGPA.
