CBSE Board Result 2017 delayed, check out the tentative dates here

CBSE Result 2017: Students who are waiting for CBSE Board Result 2017, your wait just got a bit longer! As per the recent update, the CBSE Result 2017 for both class 10 and class 12 students might be delayed. The new tentative date for the declaration of CBSE 10th Result 2017 is around 20th May, whereas the CBSE 12th Result 2017 are expected to announced around 25th May. Once announced, students will be able to check their results online on the official website i.e.

As per official sources within the Board, the CBSE Result has been delayed due to the postponement of Board exams to avoid a clash with the recently concluded state assembly elections. Consequently, the Class 10 Board Exams ended almost a month later i.e. 10th April whereas the Class 12 exam concluded on April 29. This is the first time in over 20 years that CBSE Exam Results would be delayed due to Assembly elections.

While the delay has been acknowledged by the Board, the CBSE has also put in all the efforts to complete the evaluation work as soon as possible. This year, the CBSE’s Ajmer region is looking after the evaluation process for CBSE Board Exams. But, thanks to the strict protocol put in by the Board, the process has been quite slow compared to other state boards.

Adding to this remark, a Board official said to a leading daily that "In CBSE, a teacher has to go to the evaluation centre, depending on the subject and the city in which it's being carried out." The source also added that "A teacher cannot evaluate more than 20 copies a day unlike in other state boards, where one can carry the answer sheets home."

This year, nearly 19 lakh students have appeared for the Board Exams and are now waiting for the declaration of CBSE Result 2017. Of the total number, 8,86,506 candidates are awaiting the announcement of CBSE Class 10 Result 2017, which is a rise of 15.73% compared to last year. Similarly, 10,98,981 students are expecting their  CBSE 12th Result 2017 this year.
