For 2017 board exams, CBSE had released the date sheets on January 9, 2017. The Class 10 board exams were held from March 9 to April 10 and Class 12 exam were conducted from March 9 till April 29.
The schedule for All India Secondary School Examination or class 10 and All India Senior School Certificate Examination or class 12 board exam 2018 is likely to be delayed. The reason for the same is the declaration of poll schedule for the states of Meghalaya, Nagaland, Tripura and Karnataka.
According to other reports, board officials have suggested a plan to shorten the duration of the exam schedule to provide more time for evaluation.
Last year, the CBSE Board Examinations had to be delayed by 9 days due to polls in 5 states of Goa, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Manipur and Uttarakhand.
The CBSE Class 10, 2018 exam is expected to be completed in March while the Class 12 exam is likely to be extended till third week of April 2018.
In the previous session, 1098891 candidates appeared for the CBSE Class 12, while 86506 candidates took the CBSE class 10th exam.
In the last academic session, CBSE had declared the class 10 examination results on June 3, 2017 for all regions while class 12 results was declared on May 28, 2017.
