The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is likely to release the detailed notification for UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) 2018 July examination this week. If sources are to be believed then the detailed notification will be available on the official website of the board i.e cbsenet.nic.in.
The detailed information bulletin for the NET July 2018 examination was expected to release on February 1, 2018. However, the same was not released by the board.
Till date the board has released only one official notification which stated that the notification for UGC NET July 2018 examination would be made available shortly. CBSE in its earlier notification released in January had stated that there would be some changes in the examination pattern.
As per the new changes, the NET examination would dispense of three paper format and would instead have a two Paper format. The NET July 2018 examination accordingly would have two papers – Paper I and II. Out of this, Paper I would be of 100 marks and Paper II would be of 200 marks. Apart from this, the upper age limit for Junior Research Fellowship has also been revised and extended from 28 years to 30 years. The details of these two changes, however, would be available only in the information bulletin.
The registration process for the candidates who want to appear for CBSE UGC July 2018 examination will start from March 6, 2018. The last date to apply online on cbsenet.nic.in would be April 5, 2018 with fee payable until April 6, 2018.
As per sources, the delay in the detailed notification is bound to end soon and the detailed notification explaining the changes in the paper pattern should be published on the official website anytime this week.
There is no delay in the date proposed for the start of online application. The UGC NET July 2018 examination would be conducted by CBSE on July 6, 2018.
