The Central Board of Secondary Education as extended the School Affiliation Application Deadline. The revised date for submitting the CBSE School Affiliation application 2020 is now 30th April 2020. The decision to extend the CBSE Schools Affiliation application deadline has been taken by the Board after it received representations from various stakeholders. Due to the recent outbreak of Coronavirus in the country, stakeholders were not able to submit the application and as such the CBSE has extended the window for submitting the School Affiliation Application.
According to a statement released by the Board the stakeholders can submit the School Affiliation Application forms until the said date without any late fee. According to the existing norms, the period for applying for affiliation under various categories which includes fresh affiliation, upgradation, switch-over from other board or extension of affiliation for the academic session 2021-22 is 31st March by paying the requisite fee.
In the statement released by the Board it said that it received representations from the schools where they mentioned problems faced for submission of the affiliation application within the designated time period with the prevalent state of COVID-19 causing the country to be under lockdown. Thus, in order to ensure that various Government advisories are fulfilled and acting on the directive of the present COVID-19 situation which asks for a measure of abundant precautions the Board’s competent authority has accorded approval for extension of date of submission of affiliation application under various categories after careful consideration, read the statement.
