The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released a notice stating that the CBSE class 10th and class 12th Board Exams 2019 are expected to commence from February 19. The board has also shared the date sheet or the month wise schedule of activities that have to be conducted by all the affiliated schools, reports TIMESNOWNEWS. As speculated, the CBSE has accelerated and preponed the activities. The development comes following a Delhi High Court order (dated July 11, 2018) which directed the Delhi University and CBSE to ensure from the commencing academic year, the result of CBSE, including re-evaluation, is taken into account while determining the cut-off date for admission to colleges of the University of Delhi.
As per the report, the activities have been pulled up by at least 15 days which will ensure an early declaration of CBSE class 10th and class 12th Board Exam 2019 results. Meanwhile, the board has started the registration process for the CBSE class 10th and class 12th students and the examination forms would be filled soon after. The board would try to finish all the activities by end of November or early December. The roll numbers would be released in the month of January itself.
Usually, the CBSE releases the date sheet for the Board Examination in the month of January but this time it may release the date sheet by December this year. The CBSE would try to complete exams in the first week of April and release the results by mid-May 2019. Earlier, the board issued a release and said that due to the advancement of the datasheet, CBSE can release the main and re-evaluation results earlier to facilitate students to get admissions in degree courses in various universities in India. Last year the examinations were held from March to April and a total of 10.76 lakh students registered for the exam out of which 10.20 lakh had appeared.
