The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has decided to provide photocopies of optical mark recognition (OMR) and calculation sheet of the students who appeared for the UGC NET July 2018 exam. Candidates who intend to obtain the photocopies it must sent the application to the board office, NET Unit along with the Demand Draft of Rs 500. While sending the application, candidates must mention their UGC NET Roll number correctly along with name and address.
Candidates should also mention their name and roll number on the backside of the Demand Draft. The application - addressed to the Secretary - should be sent by speed post on this address - NET Unit, CBSE, H-149, Sector-63, Noida-201309. One can also submit it in person at the office.
The photocopy of the Calculation Sheet and OMR will be sent to the candidate's address by speed post only. The last date for sending application is September 10, 2018.
Earlier, the CBSE released the results of University Grants Commission's National Eligibility Test (UGC-NET) on July 31. This was probably the last time that the CBSE had conducted the UGC NET Examination. From next year onwards, the UGC-NET exam would be conducted by the newly-formed National Testing Agency (NTA). This year UGC-NET exam was conducted on July 8.
This year, the exam was conducted at 2082 examination centres across the country. A total number of 2864 observers and 675 Board's officials were deputed on these centres to oversee the conduct of the examination. The Central Board of Secondary Education had made some changes in the NET exam this year. From 28 years, the cut-off age of candidates applying for the Junior Research Fellow (JRF) post has been revised to 30 years. Earlier, candidates had to appear for three papers, this year they appeared only for two papers.
