The Centralized Admission Committee Admission Test also known as CENTAC on Friday extended the last date for joining undergraduate (UG) professional courses like B.P.T., B.Sc. (Nursing)., B.Sc. (MLT), B.A.L.L.B. till August 11. According to a report in TOI, the extended date will not be applicable on candidates joining M.B.B.S course. Centac coordinator P.T. Rudra Goud said that the provisional allotment list of candidates for admission under NRI quota has been released on the official website.
Earlier, the CENTAC list was delayed because of seat sharing deadlock as the Pondicherry Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) and Sri Manakula Vinayagar Medical College and Hospital had refused to share any MBBS seats with the government. Sri Manakula Vinayagar Medical College and Hospital and Sri Venkateshwaraa Medical College Hospital and Research Centre were supposed to proivde 150 seats the Pondicherry Institute of Medical Sciences had to share 100 seats.
There are 7 colleges run by the societies of Government of Puducherry coming under the purview of CENTAC that offered these courses and number of seats is limited for each course. This is the state level examination. Candidates can fill the application form only through the online mode. They will get the admission into the first year in various programmes on the basis of merit.
