On the occasion of Children’s Day 2019, President Ram Nath Kovind met and interacted with the student innovators of Atal Tinkering Labs. Student innovators impressed him with their ideas and he wished them success for future. President Kovind shared his experience of meeting the young innovators from Atal Tinkering Labs on twitter saying ““Interacted with some of the most promising student innovators of Atal Tinkering Labs. Impressed by their ideas and the zeal to find solutions to some of the problems that we face today. My best wishes to them. May they succeed in their endeavours.”
President Interacts with Children
As per media reports, President Kovind spend the earlier part of his day by meeting and interacting with young students from across the country to mark Children’s Day 2019. During his interactive session with the students, President also gave chocolates to them and wished them a very happy and healthy life. He also wished that the energy and enthusiasm showcased by the students may guide them to achieve their dreams and help them lead a happy and healthy life in the future.
PM Modi, other leaders paid Tribute to Jawaharlal Nehru
Prime Minister Narendra Modi celebrated Children’s Day 2019 by paying his tributes to Jawaharlal Nehru on the 130th birth anniversary of India's first Prime Minister. PM Modi is currently in Brazil for the BRICS summit, but he paid his tribute through a tweet saying “Tributes to our former PM Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru on his birth anniversary.”
PM was also joined by former President Pranab Mukherjee, former PM Dr Manmohan Singh and Congress president Sonia Gandhi in paying their tribute to India's first Prime Minister. Rahul Gandhi also paid homage to the icon of India’s freedom struggle and his great grand-father saying "On his birth anniversary, we remember our first PM, Pandit Jawaharlal NehruJi, a statesman, visionary, scholar, institution builder and one of the great architects of modern India."
