DU OBE Result 2020: The University of Delhi, on Tuesday, informed the high court that the DU OBE 2020 results pending as yet for various undergraduate and postgraduate courses will be declared by 30th November 2020. The University made the submission as a response to an application which alleged that the varsity had violated the court's earlier order when it had undertaken to declare all the DU OBE results 2020 by 31st October 2020. The matter is next listed for hearing on 2nd December 2020.
Petition for DU OBE 2020 Result Declaration
The petitioner had stated in the application that the University has violated the order of October 12, where the varsity itself had undertaken to adhere to the timeline for the declaration of DU OBE 2020 results of undergraduate and postgraduate courses confirming the last date of result declaration to be 31st October 2020.
The Delhi High Court on 12th October 2020 had also directed the varsity to upload the mark sheets of the students on its website and also directed that no student should be asked to physically come for collecting the same. The Delhi HC had also ordered the University and its examiners to expedite the process of evaluation of the online Open-Book Examination (OBE) and declare the results of the students, preferably by the first week of October.
Plea Disposal by Delhi HC
Earlier, the Delhi HC disposed of two pleas by law student Prateek Sharma and National Federation of Blind which sought for setting up of effective mechanisms for visually impaired and specially-abled students so that they are provided with proper educational instructions in addition to providing them with teaching material through online mode of teaching during the COVID-19 pandemic. The court disposed of the plea application citing that it was an already decided matter.
