According to officials of University Grants Commission (UGC), the preliminary meeting is expected in August and it would be held through video conference. The final meeting - under the chairmanship of former chief election commissioner N Gopalaswami - can take place anytime in the month of September.
Officials say that there is range of issues, including the need of guidance for institutes who have already been given IoE status, that committee is expected to discuss in the meeting.
