Facebook has recently joined hands with UNESCO to launch an Online Learning Resources Guide for Educators which can be useful during the current times of COVID-19 pandemic. The guide helps educators to learn new techniques to collaborate and continue the learning process for students using Facebook products and tools. The guide comes across as very helpful tools in current times where schools and educational institutions in several countries have been closed as a preventive measure to counter Coronavirus infection.
Guide Highlights Features of Facebook Products
The Online Guide released for educators is titled 'Supporting Education Communities: An Online Learning Resources Guide’. It has been specially designed by the team at Facebook to help educators understand how they can use different products offered by Facebook which can be used to conduct educational and academic activities. The guide specially focuses on products such as Facebook Pages, Facebook Groups, Facebook Live, Messenger, WhatsApp and Instagram. The guide has been launched in 5 languages and is available in English, Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati and Kannada.
Phase One of Guide Targeted at Educators
According to the details released by the social media giant, the first phase of the guide is aimed at educators in collaboration with UNESCO. With help of UNESCO, Facebook aims to help the guide reach learners, educational institutions and teachers across the countries that are impacted due to COVID-19 lockdown. In addition to this, UNESCO will also help Facebook update and curate the guide with relevant learning resources that can prove to be helpful for learners, educators and general users as well.
