The fourth round merit list was announced on August 7 and the students were given two days to confirm their admissions. While August 9 was the second day to do so, due to the Maratha Kranti Morcha bandh in the state, the collector had asked schools and colleges to be shut.

The special round is open for the candidates who have not been designated any universities yet and for students who were assigned a college preference other than their first in the inclination list yet they didn't affirm their affirmation there. Anyway, the special round isn't for students who were assigned their first preference of college in any of the four rounds.

“Students who were allotted their first preference should have taken admission in that college. The special round is not for such students. Those students who were allotted their first preference and did not take admission there should wait till the end of the special round. A new schedule will be announced post it and such students will then be eligible to apply under the First Come First Serve basis,” stated Minakshi Raut in a written statement.
