Goa Board HSSC Exam 2020 Held: After being postponed for a while, on 20th May 2020, Goa Board held the pending Goa HSSC Exam 2020 for Marathi paper. The exam was held amid strict arrangements for COVID-19 precautions and social distancing norms. The only pending exam for Goa HSSC Exam 2020 i.e. Marathi paper was held today for nearly 3000 students. Following the examination,Goa board's chairman Ramakrishna Samant issued a statement confirming that the exam was held successfully and almost all of the total of 3,823 students appeared for Marathi paper on 20th May 2020. He also added that examination was held hassle-free and almost all the students appeared for it at their respective examination centres.
COVID-19 Precautions for Exams
During the planning stage of Goa HSSC Board Exam 2020, the official of the board had put in place proper guidelines and protocols to ensure the safety and health of the students. Face masks were made compulsory for all the students appearing for the board exams. On similar lines, students were asked to disinfect their hands regularly during the examination period, right from the point of entry into the examination hall to completion of the exam and exit. Moreover, seating arrangement for the exam was also made in a unique manner, which ensured proper social distancing between the students during the examination.
Exam Was Postponed Due to COVID-19 Lockdown
The Marathi Paper for Goa 12th Board Exam 2020 was scheduled to 20th March 2020. However, due to the announcement of nationwide lockdown, the board exam was postponed in the state. However, on 1st May 2020, the state government announced that all 7 cases of the COVID-19 which were reported in the state were cured successfully and that the entire state fell under Green Zone. Following this, board officials planned the examination and announced that the pending exam for Marathi language would be held on 20th May 2020.
